dws 1A temporary water shut-off will take place along Kapiolani Street in Hilo on Monday, April 25 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Department of Water Supply officials say the shut-off will affect customers on Kapiolani Street between Mohouli Street and the Hospice of Hilo.

On that day, waterline work for the Kapiolaani Street Extension project is expected to be completed.

After work is completed, the lines will be flushed and cleaned. During that period, customers may noticed trapped air in their plumbing and turbid or discolored water. These things will dissipate with water use.
