University of Hawai’i at Hilo senior Kristen Sawada earned her fourth top-10 finish of the season at the PacWest Women’s Golf Championship on Wednesday, which secured a spot in the conference’s All-Tournament Team.

Sawada, one of three UH-Hilo golfers to compete individually at the tournament, shot a 239 in the three-round event, good for a tie for ninth place. Her best round was a 71 during the second day of the tournament, which was also the best round shot by any golfer throughout the event.

UH-Hilo did not compete in the team standings, but sent Sawada and two other golfers to the Wigwam Golf Course in Arizona to participate for individual honors. Junior Alison Tengan finished in 20th place, and freshman Kimberly Katayama ended the tournament in 37th place.
