Noel Villamil has been promoted by Hawaiian Airlines to the role of Vice President – Financial Planning and Analysis.

In his new role, Villamil will lead all aspects of strategic financial planning, forecasting, and projects. He will also oversee Hawaiian’s financial governance and capital budgeting process.

“Noel has proven to be a remarkable leader since joining our team four years ago,” said Shannon Okinaka, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hawaiian Airlines. “He has been key in helping build a strategic financial model to keep us competitive as we continue to grow our business.”

In 2012, Villamil joined Hawaiian Airlines as Director – Financial Planning and Analysis. He started his career in 1998 as an analyst in the Transportation Group at Lehman Brothers, where he monitored aircraft-related financial transactions. Roles since then have ranged from consultant and management consulting positions at Simat, Helliesen & Eichner and as one of the first employees at Virgin American.

Villamil has a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Columbia University.
