The University of Hawai’i at Hilo men’s tennis team has been seeded seventh in this week’s PacWest Conference Men’s Tennis Championship, hosted by BYU-Hawai’i at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Center in Surprise, Ariz.

UH-Hilo will take on second-seeded Azusa Pacific University on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Hawai’i time. APU swept all nine matches against UH-Hilo on March 22 in California.

Hawai’i Pacific University holds the top seed in the men’s tournament, Point Loma Nazarene holds the third seed, and BYU-Hawai’i is seeded fourth. Rounding out the seeding is Holy Names in fifth, Concordia sixth, and Sonoma State eighth.

UH-Hilo is 6-9 on the season. The Vulcans, under first-year head coach Tina McDermott, has won four of its last five series.
