A High Wind Warning is in effect for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa through 9 a.m. Wednesday for west winds from 30 to 60 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for the west side of the Big Island until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday for the Alenuihaha channel and windward waters.

Looking Ahead
High pressure will move over the islands Wednesday through Thursday, with light winds and dry weather prevailing. The high will lift to the north Friday through the weekend, allowing trade winds to return across the islands.

Today we expect partly sunny conditions with scattered showers in the afternoon for windward sides. Mostly clear skies for leeward with clouds building in the afternoon and areas of haze. Variable winds are forecast from 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures from 81° to 86°.
