Wind Warning for Summits, 85 mph Gusts Expected

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa through 6 p.m. Tuesday for west winds from 30 to 65 mph with gusts up to 85 mph.

Looking Ahead
A weakening cold front will move through the islands from north to south Tuesday into Tuesday evening. Scattered showers will be possible as the front moves through. Light winds and mainly dry weather are expected Wednesday and Thursday with a return to trade winds Friday through the weekend.
