Looking Ahead
A weather feature tracking eastward across the central and eastern part of the state through Saturday coupled with an unstable airmass is expected to bring unsettled weather mainly for the Big Island through Saturday afternoon. A drier airmass will move back over the islands Saturday night through Sunday night. A weak cold front is forecast to push across the state Monday night through Tuesday night. Trade winds aren’t expected back in ernest until late in the week.
Today
Today we expect partly sunny skies for the Kona side with haze expected. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast mainly for the afternoon. The Hilo side can expect scattered morning showers then showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Variable winds are forecast up to 15 mph. High temperatures from 78° to 83°.

Variable winds are expected from 5 to 15 mph. Partly cloudy skies are forecast with scattered showers for windward spots and isolated showers for lee areas. Low temperatures from 65° to 70°.
