APAC to Host ‘A Kidsummer Night’s Dream’ Auditions

The Aloha Performing Arts Company is seeking cast members for its summer show, “A Kidsummer Night’s Dream.”

Auditions will be held on two separate evenings on Sunday, April 24 and Monday, April 25.

Each actor only needs to attend one of the audition dates.

Potential cast members may be called back on Tuesday, April 26 if needed.

“A Kidsummer Night’s Dream” is a mashup of Shakespeare and Shakespeare-inspired scenes and songs, written by playwright Susie Burke. The show will be directed by Jerry Tracy.

The show will run for two weekends, on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons between June 10 and June 19.

For three weeks, beginning May 2, rehearsals will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. rehearsal for two weeks, and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. during the week leading up to the show.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany each child to auditions in order to sign paperwork.

No knowledge of Shakespeare or prior stage experience is required.
