Volcano Art Center will host an “A-Mazing Triangle Workshop” on Saturday, April 2.

Instructor Charlene Asato will teach participants how to create triangular books, turning a single piece of paper into triangular pages.

In addition, Asato will explore the various maze patterns that result in sculpture books.

Asato avidly pursues book arts, photography, calligraphy, and doll arts. She has had her work included in juried art shows both locally and nationally.

In 2012, Asato had a solo exhibition of her work displayed at the East Hawai’i Cultural Center.

The three hour workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
