Military Convoys Scheduled to Travel Saturday Through Thursday

Military convoys will travel between Pohakuloa Training Area and Kawaihae Harbor beginning Saturday morning.

Army officials say Oahu-based service members will travel between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and again between 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. from Saturday, March 26 through March 31.

During the convoy, roadways in use will include the Daniel K. Inouye Highway, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, and Akoni Pule Corridor.

The Hawai’i Police Department will escort the convoys.

Efforts between the PTA Department of Army police, local authorities, and military units have coordinated the activity in support of unit training and readiness.

Motorists driving along the listed roadways during scheduled convoy times should remain alert and drive with care.
