High moisture and light winds are expected this week and possibly into next weekend. The potential for localized heavy downpours exists mainly in the afternoons and evenings. Light winds will prevail through the forecast period, favoring a southerly direction most of the week, and a trade wind direction over the weekend.

Today we expect mostly sunny skies in the morning with clouds building in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies are forecast later in the day with a chance of showers. A slight chance for thunderstorms exist for the Kona side and locally heavy rainfall is also possible. Hazy skies are likely. Variable winds are forecast from 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.

Variable winds are expected from 5 to 15 mph. Mostly cloudy skies are forecast in the evening with a chance of showers. Slight chance of thunderstorms exists for the Kona side and locally heavy rainfall is possible. After midnight skies are forecast to clear with a slight chance of windward showers. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°.
