The Department of Water Supply has announced a temporary water shut-off along Kilauea Avenue in Hilo, from Olona Street to Lanikaula Street, for Wednesday, March 23.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., work will be conducted in the area to change a main valve.
Once water resumes service, DWS customers may experience turbid and/or discolored water as a result of the waterlines being flushed.
DWS urges its customers to take necessary precautions by unplugging items that may be damaged as a result of lost water pressure or supply.
