The Hawai’i Forest Institute’s Tradition Hawaiian Hale Building workshops continue on Saturday, March 26.

Participants will meet at the Pana’ewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens, either at the front entrance or at the Discovery Forest, where the workshop will be conducted by Traditional Hale Builder Uncle Walter Wong from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Together, work will be conducted on the Hale Mala within the Zoo’s Discovery Forest.

It is highly suggested that participants wear closed toe shoes and bring a pocket knife, gloves, sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and rain gear.
