Friends of Lili’uokalani Gardens plan to host a volunteer day on Saturday in an effort to clean up the gardens prior to the 52nd annual Merrie Monarch Festival.
The cleanup will include clearing weeds and debris off and around rock outcropping, as well as conducting efforts in the bamboo patch, raking, and bagging leaves.
Members of the public are invited to join in on the effort.
Interested volunteers should meet on the flat open area between the stairs and the lion dogs at 8 a.m.
