A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all island waters through 6 p.m Friday.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for the west side of the Big Island through 6 a.m. Thursday for north winds from 20 to 30 mph. Specifically, Kailua-Kona, Milolii and Waikoloa. This advisory may be extended.

Looking Ahead
Cool and gusty north winds are expected to continue tonight, between a cold front southeast of the Big Island and high pressure northwest of the islands. Winds will gradually turn to a more easterly direction over the next few days, but remain locally breezy through the weekend. A developing low northwest of the state will cause winds to weaken and turn southerly once again early next week, with an increasing chance of showers.

Today we expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers for windward and mauka spots. Mostly cloudy with isolated showers in leeward spots in the afternoon. Mostly clear in the morning. North winds are forecast from 15 to 25 mph. High temperatures from 80° to 85°.
