Winds are forecast to become variable Tuesday ahead of an approaching front. A land and sea breeze regime is expected. Minimal rainfall is expected along the front as it moves through Tuesday night. Another round of cool and breezy northerly winds will develop behind the front on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by typical trade wind conditions during the weekend.
Today we expect partly sunny skies with scattered showers for Puna and Ka’u. Otherwise, mostly clear morning with partly cloudy skies and isolated showers in the afternoon. Variable winds are forecast up to 15 mph. High temperatures from 80° to 85°.
