UPDATE: UH-Hilo Softball Against Holy Names Cancelled

Bad weather has cancelled the PacWest Conference softball doubleheader the University of Hawai’i at Hilo and Holy Names University.

Both teams were originally supposed to take the field on the UH-Hilo campus at Noon, but wet conditions pushed the start back by two hours.

The decision to scrap the games was made just after 12 p.m.

UH-Hilo says that attempts are being made to reschedule the games.

Next on the schedule for UH-Hilo is a a doubleheader against Academy of Art on Saturday, March 19. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. at the UH Hilo Softball FIeld.

The University of Hawai’i at Hilo athletic department announced that it is pushing back the start time for Saturday’s softball doubleheader between the Vulcans and Holy Names University.

Initially slated to start at Noon, the start time was moved back to 2 p.m. because of bad weather in the area.

UH-Hilo enters Saturday’s twinbill with a 19-6 record and 9-1 PacWest Conference mark, which puts them in second place behind Academy of Art, who is 2-0 in league play. Holy Names is  7-17-1 overall and 3-9 in the conference.
