Water Shut-Off Saturday in North Kona

dws 1A temporary water shut-off is scheduled for Saturday between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The water outage will take place along Hualalai Road through the Ali’i Veterinary Hospital in North Kona. It will include the Department of Veteran Affairs, Office of Dr. Frank Ferren, Innovations Public Charter School, and Kona Hillcrest subdivision.

According to officials from the Department of Water Supply, the disruption in service is necessary to make a waterline connection for Innovations Public Charter School.

One water service resumes, customers may noticed turbid and/or discolored water, as well as air trapped in the plumbing. Service should return to normal with water use.

Customers affected by the shut-off should take precautions to protect property that is dependent on water supply or pressure. In addition, customers should prepare for their drinking needs by storing water.
