Paradise Helicopters First in HAI Safety Program Certification
Paradise Helicopters was recently certified as the first Air Tour Operator in the world to receive the Helicopter Association International Accreditation Program of Safety certification for its Safety Management System.
The air tour company operates out of both the Kona and Hilo International Airports, as well as the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu.
Paradise Helicopters received accreditation on March 1 at the annual Helicopter Association International EXPO in Kentucky after completing its audit and undergoing International Standards in Business Aircraft Operations stage 2 certification.
With the recent accreditation, Paradise Helicopters leads air tour operators across the globe in compliance with higher standards of safety across the industry.
Over 2,500 members belong to HAI, the largest helicopter association in the world, which works with the United States government, Federal Aviation Administration, and the helicopter community to develop acceptable regulatory requirements.
HAI released its new accreditation program in January with the aim to standardize safety across the industry.
The HAI program is completed along with the IS-BAO.
