On Saturday, Kona Commons will celebrate “St. Pet-Tricks Day” with its annual family-friendly extravaganza focused on pets.

An array of activities will take place beginning at 9 a.m., including a pet food drive, a pet trick contest, pet training and grooming demos, pet kissing, photos with your pet, a pet hydration and snack station, and the chance to win a $500 pet spa treatment.

Kahula ‘O Nawahine Hula Halau will perform during an opening ceremony.

Petco’s Mega Pet Adoption will also coincide with the events and run until 4 p.m.

Canned and un-opened bags of dog and cat food will be accepted for the pet food drive. Donations will be given to local animal organizations, including the Hawai’i Island Humane Society, KARES, and Advocats.
