A High Surf Advisory is posted for the north and west shore of the Big Island through 6 p.m. Wednesday.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Wednesday for windward Big Island waters and the Alenuihaha channel.
A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for a very large northwest swell producing harbor surges in Honokohau Harbor and large breaking waves at the harbor entrance.

Looking Ahead
Trade winds are forecast to return on Wednesday. Winds will again weaken Thursday and Friday. Friday night and Saturday trade winds are expected to return once again. Another front will approach the islands early next week.

Today we expect partly sunny skies with scattered showers. Leeward spots could see isolated showers in the afternoon. High temperatures from 79° to 84°. North winds are expected around 15 mph.
