Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Wave heights for spots exposed to the large swell are expected to be shoulder to head high at the best breaks. Spots without direct exposure will be smaller.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be waist/shoulder high today.
South: Wave heights are expected to be waist/chest high with the best spots getting bigger on the sets.

A fun size swell is expected Tuesday and Wednesday with another round on tap for the weekend. The Big Island will again be heavily shadowed and won’t show the size as much as the other islands.
A fun size bump could fill in around March 7 – 9 for southern exposures. Tummy to chest high sets are possible with this swell.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
