High Surf Closes Portions of Pu’uhonua o Honaunau

High surf in West Hawai’i has kept portions of the Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park closed since Wednesday.
The picnic area, 1871 trail, and Pu’uhonua are all closed.
A park spokesperson said closures are anticipated to remain as new oncoming swells are predicted for the coming week.
