Looking Ahead
The current large north swell will continue to subside tonight and Wednesday, but another very large northwest swell will begin to arrive late Wednesday and peak Thursday. Winds are forecast to remain light and our weather should be dry through Wednesday. A couple of days of moderate trade winds are expected later this week. The trades will push showers from a couple of old fronts over windward areas through the weekend. A new front will move over the islands early next week.
Today
Today we expect partly cloudy skies for windward areas with scattered showers. The Kona side should get lots of sunshine with afternoon clouds building. Hazy skies are expected. East winds are forecast around 15 mph. High temperatures from 78° to 83°.
UV index at 9 (“very high” exposure level)
Tonight
East winds are expected around 15 mph. Low temperatures from 67° to 72° with partly cloudy skies and scattered windward showers. Leeward spots should be mostly clear.
