Lions Club of Kona to Host Free Health Screening

doctor PIXABAY health screeningA free health screening hosted by the Lions Club of Kona will take place on Saturday, March 5.

From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Konawaena Elementary School Cafeteria, keiki dental, general vision, hearing, blood pressure, and diabetes testing will take place for free.

The Lions Club of Kona is sponsoring this community service project. For 82 years, the Lions Club of Kona has provided screenings like this one throughout the community in Kona.

During the screening, exhibits on senior activities, vision tracking for children, community resources related to health, and a special dengue fever education presentation will be present.

Free mosquito traps will be given away as part of dengue education and prevention.

All participants will receive a free meal and free carnival games for children will take place.

The Lions motto is ,”We Serve” with the mission “to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.”
