International Nights 2016 will take place this weekend at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo’s Performing Arts Center.

The performances are part of the UH-Hilo International Student Association and will run on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m.

Eighteen performances from Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and the Americas are on the program schedule, including annual favorites like Tupulaga O Samoa Mo a Taeao, representing Samoa, and Taishoji taiko drumming, representing Japan. Other performances will showcase the Philippines, Burma, France, Micronesia, Ireland, Kiribati, Okinawa, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the United States.

In addition, a “Tour de France” performance will also take the audience on a journey through France.

General admission tickets cost $12 for adults and $5 for students, children, and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the UH-Hilo PAC Box office from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, or at the door on the night of the shows.
