Fire at Domino’s Hilo Causes $160,000K in Damage

A fire that broke out Tuesday morning at Domino’s Pizza in Hilo, located on Kilauea Avenue, caused approximately $160,000 in damages.

The Hawai’i County Fire Department responded to the fire at 6:56 a.m. Upon arrival, smoke was found coming out of the building’s roof vent.

Domino’s was closed at the time of the incident and HFD personnel broke through the businesses back door to gain entry.

Twenty HFD personnel worked to extinguish the fire, which was found in the business’ storage room. The fire was out by 7:15 a.m.

HFD says the fire did not spread.

The fire’s cause is currently under investigation and the scene has been turned over to inspectors and the Hawai’i Police Department.
