Pacific Biodiesel Founders Named in Top 100 List
Biofuels Digest’s Top 100 People in the Advanced Bioeconomy list includes two local entrepreneurs, co-founders Bob and Kelly King of Pacific Biodiesel Technologies.
The top 100 list includes industry leaders, government officials, and researchers from around the world. To be included in the list, individuals are nominated and then voted on by Biofuels Digest readers.
Publication Editor and Publisher Jim Lane noted in his congratulatory note to the King’s that the honor was “one small way of thanking you sincerely for your contributions to the sector over these many years.”
Awards that coincide with the honor will be presented to the pair at a reception on Feb. 17. The ceremony is part of the Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
“We are honored to be included on this list by Biofuels Digest,” said Bob King, President of Pacific Biodiesel. “Our company works hard to produce renewable fuel today, as well as innovate the next direction for the company in a challenging industry.”
Pacific Biodiesel opened the first retail biodiesel pump in America and has since built a reputation as a leading pioneer in the biodiesel industry.
Big Island Biodiesel is the company’s newest facility.
