A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all Big Island windward waters through 6 p.m. Thursday.
A High Surf Warning is posted for the west side of the Big Island through 6 p.m. Thursday.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for the north shore of the Big Island through 6 p.m. Thursday.
Marine Alert – Beginning Wednesday a large, very dangerous northwest swell will produce harbor surges and large breaking waves at the harbor entrances exposed to this swell. This includes Honokohau boat harbors.

Cool, dry weather is forecast to continue through Wednesday with light winds. Gentle trade winds are expected to return during the second half of the week. An approaching front from the northwest will result in winds turning more southeast for the smaller islands over the weekend.
Today we expect mostly sunny skies. Winds are out of the northeast around 15 mph. High temperatures from 78° to 83°. Hazy skies in leeward spots.

Northeast winds are expected from 5 to 15 mph tonight. Low temperatures from 65° to 70° with partly cloudy skies and isolated showers for windward areas.
