A fire hydrant flow test will be conducted in a portion of West Hawai’i on Friday, Feb. 12 between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
The Department of Water Supply says the flow test will take place on U’u Street and may impact consumers from 73-302 U’u St. to the south end of U’u Street, including side roads.
Customers in the area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several areas after the test period.
DWS officials advise customers against washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until water service is restored to normal.
