Special Weather Statement – A fast-moving cold front is expected to sweep across the islands this weekend. Late Saturday the front will reach Kauai then progress down the island chain by Sunday morning bringing periods of showers. Very cool, dry and gusty north winds are expected in the wake of the front. Take precautions if you live downwind of high terrain and secure any loose outdoor objects.

Looking Ahead
Stable conditions and a relatively dry weather pattern are expected to continue into Friday as the current light trades veer to the southeast. A cold front along with scattered showers is forecast to sweep down the island chain late in the day Saturday through Sunday bringing a brief surge of strong northerly winds. A cool and dry airmass with light winds will prevail over the islands Monday and Tuesday.
