Moderate trades will keep showers focused over windward and mountain areas through early Saturday. The trade flow will weaken and shift out of the south to southeast by Saturday afternoon, becoming variable by Sunday ahead of an approaching cold front from the northwest. Light rainfall is expected to come in with the front Sunday night before weakening over Maui County on Monday. Relatively dry, stable conditions and light winds are expected Tuesday through Thursday.

East to southeast winds are expected today around 15 mph. Land and sea breezes are forecast in the evening and through Sunday. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for windward spots with scattered morning showers and isolated showers in the afternoon. Sunny skies in the morning for the Kona side with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Mostly sunny with isolated showers on Sunday. High temperatures from 79° to 84°.
