A series of informational workshops being held by the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism and the High Technology Development Corporation throughout the state will begin Wednesday.

Two “New Money for Your Business” information sessions will be held on the Big Island. Each session will include information pertaining to new funding programs and grants for technology and manufacturing companies.

One of the sessions will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Kailua-Kona at the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawai’i Authority Gateway Center. The second session will be held in Hilo on Monday, Jan. 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the County of Hawai’i Aupuni Center Conference Room.

Business owners can learn about HTDC’s new Neighbor Island Innovation Initiative, which was designed to provide business and technical assistance not readily available to companies on the neighbor islands.

In addition, attendees will learn about DBEDT’s Hawai’i State Trade Export Promotion Program that focuses on growing Hawai’i’s export industry and other new grant programs dedicated to technology, manufacturing, and energy projects.

Hawai’i Energy and Foreign Trade Zone will also present information on money-saving initiatives for companies.
