Transmission line work will take place along Highway 190 over a three month period, according to Hawai’i Electric Light officials.

Throughout the duration of the work, a partial lane closure will be in effect, beginning just west of the Saddle Road Junction at the 17-mile marker and heading towards Pu’uwa’awa’a,at the 25 mile marker.

Officials say the closure will allow crews to upgrade both the lines and equipment to improve system reliability.
