Looking Ahead
Light winds tonight will likely keep some smoke from new years celebrations over portions of the islands overnight. A cold front approaching from the northwest will bring gusty, northerly winds into the islands Friday afternoon for Kauai and Oahu, and spread down the island chain. A few more showers may accompany the front, but no significant rainfall is expected. By Saturday, high pressure north of the sate will control the local weather again. Another cold front will approach the state during the early to middle part of next week.
