Kawaihae Road Closed at MM 60

Hawai‘i Island police report that Kawaihae Road is closed at the 60 mile marker until about 9:30 p.m. tonight due to a downed power line resulting from a traffic collision. Traffic is re-routed thru Ohina and Mahua streets.
Police ask that motorists avoid the area if possible and take an alternate route.
