A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Hawaii County waters and channels through 6 a.m. Friday for winds up to 30 knots and seas up to 12 feet.
A Wind Advisory is posted for the summit of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa through 6 a.m. Friday for east winds from 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

Looking Ahead
Gusty trade winds will continue through Friday. Showers will again favor windward and mauka areas with a few reaching leeward locations from time to time. Winds are forecast to turn southeast over the weekend, allowing afternoon sea breezes and clouds to form over interior and leeward sections of the islands. Moderate trade winds are expected to return Monday.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected today with scattered windward and mauka showers. Northeasterly winds are expected from 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Windier conditions are expected at higher elevations. Mostly clear skies for the Kona side with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and areas of haze. High temperatures from 80° to 85°.

Northeast winds are expected in the evening from 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected with scattered windward and mauka showers.
