A pair of Hilo golfers finished out the Hawai’i State Junior Golf Association season with wins in their respective age groups.

This season’s winners were invited to the Wailea Golf Club’s Emerald Golf Course on Maui for the season-ending Michelle Wie HSJGA Tournament of Champions, hosted by Wie, a native of Honolulu and LPGA tour professional.

Isaiah Kanno of Hilo shot rounds of 71 and 69 to win the Boys 11-12 division with an overall score of -4, winning by five strokes over Honolulu’s Kelly Chinn.

Pono Yanagi had to do a little extra work to win the Boys 13-14 division. After shooting an even-par 72 in Saturday’s first round, a 76 on Sunday opened the door for Honolulu’s AJ Teraoka to force a one-hole playoff, which Yanagi won.
