A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Big Island coastal waters and the ʻAlenuihāhā channel through 6 p.m. Sunday for northeast winds up to 30 knots and seas up to 18 feet.
A High Surf Advisory is in effect for east facing shores through Sunday at 6 p.m. Surf heights of 7 to 10 foot faces are expected.

Looking Ahead
Breezy to gusty trade winds are expected over the state through the weekend, then weaken next week. Showers will continue to focus over windward slopes with many of them reaching leeward sides carried over mauka areas on our trades. Showers are forecast to be light to moderate and pass quickly.

Today mostly cloudy skies are expected with numerous showers expected during the day. The Kona side is expected to be partly sunny to start and mostly cloudy in the afternoon with scattered showers. High temperatures from 82° to 87°. East winds are forecast from 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

East winds are expected in the evening from 15 to 25 mph. Low temperatures from 72° to 77°. Mostly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with frequent showers for windward spots. Leeward spots should be partly cloudy with scattered showers and clearing as the night goes on.
