Highway 11 has reopened to traffic in both directions, near mile marker 108. The roadway was closed Friday afternoon in both direction as the result of a vehicle accident.
The Hawai’i Police Department urges motorists to use caution in the area.

One lane of Highway 11 is now open near the 108 mile marker in South Kona.
Delays in the area continue to be expected.

A full road closure of Highway 11 near the 108 mile marker in South Kona has been reported by the Hawai’i Police Department.
The closure is the result of a traffic accident.
Motorists driving in the area should use alternate routes if possible.
Middle Keei Road and Napopoo Road are can be used as alternate routes.
