Waiakea’s Ondo, HPA’s Cash Snag Top BIIF XC Awards
The Big Island Interscholastic Federation announced its all-league awards for the recently completed cross country season.
All-league awards were determined by the order of finish in last month’s BIIF championship meet. The top seven finishers in both boys and girls races were placed in the All-BIIF First Team, while eighth through fourteenth place runners were in the All-BIIF Second Team. Honorable Mention selections were also announced.
Hawai’i Preparatory Academy swept the Division II team championships in both male and female events. Hilo High School won the girls Division I team title, while Waiakea High School claimed the Boys Division I crown.
HPA coach Kimo Higgins was named the Girls Coach of the Year, while Jordan Rosado was named Boys Coach of the Year.
