Kealakekua Public Library will celebrate its 65th anniversary on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Hawai’i State Public Library System officials say that the Friends of the Libraries Kona is sponsoring the family event, which will include a free performance by local musician Brian Kiernan.

Light refreshments will be served. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

Individuals in need of a sign language interpreter or other accommodations should contact the library as soon as possible. For more information about the event, contact the library by calling 323-7585.
