The Ironkids Fun Run and Keiki-Dip-n-Dash has become an annual tradition for youngsters ages 14 and under.

This year’s event, happening Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Kailua Pier, will once again give kids the opportunity to compete on the same course that top Ironman competitors face every year during the Ironman World Championships.

There are two different distances for the Keiki Run, which is for boys and girls between the ages of 2-14. Competitors can choose to take part in either a quarter-mile run or a mile-long run. A swim-run event is also available for kids age 6-14, consisting of a 150-yard swim and one-mile run.

A registration fee of $10 is required for each participant, and it covers the non-refundable USA Triathlon Youth One-Day Insurance. Competitors receive a race bib, t-shirt, goodie bag, and finisher’s medal.
