The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for western portions of the Big Island through 6 p.m.

Just after 3 p.m. radar was showing heavy rain that could cause minor flooding. Rain was falling heavily at rates up to two inches per hour over the slopes of Hualalai.

Kailua-Kona, Kona Village Resort, Puuanahulu, Kahaluu-Keauhou, Kalaoa, Keauhou, Holualoa and Honalo are also included in the advisory.
