A burglary that took place at Oshima Surf in Kainaliu Tuesday is being investigated by the Hawai’i Police Department.

HPD reports that officers responded at 2:23 a.m. Tuesday to the store after someone from a nearby business heard suspicious sounds from the store and saw a dark Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driving in the northbound direction on Mamalahoa Highway.

Investigating officers found evidence of a forcible break-in and reviewed surveillance video. The video showed four people, whose faces were obscured, grabbing clothing before leaving the store. Bikinis, blouses, rash guards, and other surf brand attire were among the items taken.
