The Hawai’i State Department of Transportation has scheduled two child safety seat events for the Big Island fair this weekend.
With the goal in mind of making sure all parents and caregivers are correctly using the right restraint for their children’s ages and sizes, the DOT will bring in Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians who will show parents and caregivers how to use car seats, booster seats, and seat belts for children.
Both events will be held at the Big Island Fair, located at the Old Kona Airport State Recreation Area. The events will take place on Friday, Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 29 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
