RECIPE: Chocolate Avocado Mousse
Unexpectedly delicious and easy. For best results use a high quality cocoa powder for optimum flavor with in season, ripe avocados for a creamy, rich tasting non-dairy dessert.
3 medium ripe avocados
6 tablespoons dark unsweetened cocoa powder (adjust amount of chocolate to taste)
1/4 cup coconut cream (scoop from the top of the can of coconut milk)
1/4 cup Hawaiian honey
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Macadamia nuts (optional)
Coconut chips (optional)
Coconut cream (optional)
- Puree avocados, cocoa powder, coconut cream, honey, and vanilla in a food processor or blender until smooth. Adjust sweetness to your taste.
- Sprinkle pudding with sea salt before serving.
- Garnish with Macadamia nuts, coconut chips and coconut cream if using!
