UPDATE: HPD Locates Pieta

The Hawai’i Police Depatment located Britney Pieta, 26, at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Pieta was found in a brush area in Hawaiian Acres, and was transported to Hilo Medical Center for medical treatment, according to police.
No additional information was immediately available.

The public’s assistance in locating 26-year-old missing woman Britney Pieta is being sought by the Hawai’i Police Department.
On Sunday, the Hawai’i Police Department issued a missing persons advisory as a result of the disappearance of Pieta, who is visiting the Big Island from Chicago.
After leaving for a hike from a residence in Hawaiian Acres on Saturday, Pieta failed to return, according to authorities.
Pieta has been described as 5-foot-6 and 110 pounds. She has long brown hair, green eyes and wears glasses.
When she was last seen, Pieta was wearing black pants, a purple shirt, blue jacket, and black boots.
Police say Pieta suffers from a medical condition that requires medication.
