For the fourth consecutive season, the University of Hawai’i at Hilo women’s basketball team will open its season with an exhibition matchup at the University of Hawai’i.

This year’s contest, once again held at the Stan Sheriff Center, will be played on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.

The game was announced as part of the University of Hawai’i’s schedule release announcement.

UH-Hilo has never beaten its big sister school from Manoa. Last season, Hawai’i defeated the Vulcans by the score of 90-53.

Coached by David Kaneshiro, UH-Hilo opens its regular season with three home games in three days. The Vulcans host Alaska-Anchorage on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20. Alaska-Fairbanks will face UH-Hilo on Nov. 21. All three games will be played at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo.
