Entry Deadline Extended for ‘Ohana Fishing Tourney

The County of Hawai’i Department of Parks and Recreation has extended its entry deadline for the ‘Ohana Shoreline Fishing Tournament, held Aug. 21-23.
Officials say that the new registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 14. Entries must be sent in to the Recreation Division office in Hilo, located on 799 Pi’ilani St. If the forms are mailed, they must be postmarked no later than the deadline date.
Interested participants can pick up a tournament registration form at S. Tokunaga Store in Hilo, J. Hara Store in Kurtistown, and online at the P&R website.
